I-SCREEN Virtual General Assembly: Strengthening Recruitment Efforts and Preparing for the Next Phase

The I-SCREEN consortium met online for its annual Virtual General Assembly. Partners reviewed the current status of recruitment, shared experiences from clinical sites, and outlined priorities for the year ahead.

Project coordinator Univ.-Prof. Dr. Ursula Schmidt-Erfurth opened the meeting by noting that recruitment is progressing steadily across sites. Continued collaboration with clinical and optometry partners remains central to reaching the project’s goals, and several new screening sites are being prepared to join the initiative.

The consortium also discussed plans for the next phase of the project, which will include further analysis of collected data, continued development of the I-SCREEN digital tools, and preparations for upcoming milestones in 2026.

More updates will follow as I-SCREEN continues working to advance retinal screening and early AMD detection across Europe.
