I-SCREEN Steering Committee highlights major milestones and prepares for future goals
On September 30, the I-SCREEN Steering Committee held its first meeting to review the project's progress and plan future activities. Key work package leaders gathered to provide updates, highlight challenges, and map out the next steps for the project's continued development.
Highlights
- Successful deliverables: Three major deliverables from Work Package 5 and 7 have been submitted, including the Ethics Requirements, Project Management Guide and Platform, and Data Management Plan. These submissions ensure that the project is well on track.
- Data Management Plan: The Data Management Plan, a crucial component for ensuring structured data collection and storage, is now available to all partners. Annual updates will continue to keep it aligned with project needs.
- Ethics Advisory Board: A diverse Ethics Advisory Board has been established, comprising experts in AI, data protection, and legal counsel, ensuring that ethical considerations are well-integrated into the project’s development.
- Collaborative coordination: The team is planning regular quarterly Steering Committee meetings, with the next scheduled for January 2025. Additionally, monthly clinical site updates and bi-annual General Assembly meetings will ensure open communication and timely updates across all partners.
Looking Ahead
The project team is focused on overcoming minor delays related to recruitment and contractual agreements, with optimism that these challenges will be resolved soon. Pre-screening for patient recruitment has already begun, and regular coordination with all partners will help maintain the project timeline. With all work packages progressing steadily, the team is confident about the upcoming milestones and continuing to deliver on the project’s ambitious goals.
Stay tuned for more updates as we approach our next Steering Committee meeting in January 2025!
