I-SCREEN Project Launches Online Kick-off Event

The I-SCREEN project took its first step towards revolutionising eye health with an online kick-off event held on March 25th, 2024. Conducted virtually, the event brought together partners from across Europe to inaugurate this initiative.

I-SCREEN, funded by the European Innovation Council, aims to redefine the landscape of eye care by focusing on early detection and management of age-related macular degeneration (AMD). By harnessing the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the project seeks to equip eye care professionals with advanced tools for early diagnosis and intervention.

With millions affected by AMD in Europe alone, the importance of this endeavour cannot be overstated. Through collaborative efforts, I-SCREEN endeavours to improve patient outcomes, alleviate burdens on healthcare systems, and ultimately, preserve vision for countless individuals.

The online kick-off event highlighted the collaborative efforts of twelve partnering institutions, each contributing unique expertise to this ambitious project.
