I-SCREEN featured in Optometry Today

We’re very pleased to share that the I-SCREEN project has been featured in Optometry Today. The article highlights how optometry practices in Northern Ireland are playing a key role in this European effort to improve early detection of retinal disease.

With a target of collecting 5000 OCT scans across several countries, the project is working to train and validate an AI screening system for age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and geographic atrophy (GA). More than 600 images will come from Northern Ireland, showing just how important local practices are to the success of the initiative.
